DXF workflow and improvements

DXF

DXF is a CAD data file format specifically designed for the universal sharing of drawing data across CAD and Xsite machine control systems. When collaborating on a cloud project, the DXF format facilitates teamwork among professionals from various disciplines.

Layers by feature

When machine operators measure water pipes, sewer pipes, luminaire legs and cables, the machine control system utilizes layers by feature. The DXF export retains this information for future use.

Layers by category

In cases where machine operators measure as-built tied to the surface model, the machine control system utilizes layers by category. The DXF export will include the necessary information for subsequent use.

• In Manage, users will now have the option to export DXF files in either layers by category or layers by feature.
• DXF format proves beneficial for CAD software users, as it can parse points for both layers by category and layers by feature.
